Moduli spaces of 1-dimensional semistable sheaves over surfaces

摘 要： 1-dimensional sheaves on a surface are torsion sheaves supported at curves in the surface. Moduli spaces of 1-dimensional semistable sheaves are quite different from those of torsion-free sheaves. Besides it is interesting on its own, this kind of moduli spaces are also related to many other important advancing and popular topics, such as "Strange Duality" and "Pandharipande-Thomas theory". The work I will present is mainly for those moduli spaces over rational surfaces, including some general properties for cases on the projective plan and Hirzebruch surfaces, and also explicit form of the cell decomposition of moduli spaces on the projective plan with supporting curve of degree no more than 5.
