摘  要：A dessin  is  a 2-cell embedding in an orientable surface of  a bipartite graph.Dessins play important roles in the study

of  algebraic  curves, and  surface  topology. I will report on  recent  progress of edge-transitive  dessins;  in particular, I 

will present some interesting applications to surface coverings.
