生命科学学院学术讲座:Understanding DNA replication and replication fork stability in eukaryotes. 真核生物中的DNA复制及复制叉稳定性研究

报告摘要 The DNA origins in the fission yeast and metazoans are five to ten times larger than that in the budding yeast. This indicates that the mechanism of DNA replication initiation is different among eukaryotes. After replication initiation, replication forks traverse across chromatin and will encounter an extensive array of replication barriers. Replication forks stalling at those barriers tend to collapse. Fortunately, eukaryotic cells have developed sophisticated mechanisms to prevent stalling forks from collapse. In my talk, I will present a few crucial cellular mechanisms that are recently uncovered in relation to replication initiation, fork stability and maintenance of genomic integrity.
